Kenzi & The Trips
KENZI & THE TRIPS is punk-rock band from Japan. The band had been formed 1987, by famous guitarist KENZI (八田ケンヂ). Group had Major debut on the same year with release of album 『FROM RABBIT HOUSE』 and single 『DIANA』, from Crown record.
Members were: 佐野俊樹 (Toshiki Sano), 上田ケンジ (Kenji Ueda), JUN GRAY, 佐藤シンイチロウ (Shinichiro Sato).
After releasing the album 『SWEET DREAMS,BABY!』 in 1988, and album『Kangaroo』 in 1989, the band paused activities, and KENZI resumed his solo career. Also two other members, Shinichiro Sato and Kenji Ueda, then went together to form their band the pillows.
1994, a members Toshiki Sano, JUN GRAY and MOH-CHAN resumed activities of KENZI & THE TRIPS, and as renewed band, released album 『覚醒』(awakening).
KENZI & THE TRIPS became band of 2 members MOH-CHAN and KENZI in 2005, and their activities were supported by several guest musicians.
In 2008, KENZI & THE TRIPS as band is suspending activities, and KENZI resumed his solo career again.
